Mission and Values

MISSION

KNOWING JESUS INTIMATELY. SERVING JESUS PASSIONATELY. SHARING JESUS GLOBALLY.

KNOWING JESUS

True life is found in knowing God and his son Jesus. We want you to experience that kind of life through Bible-centered teaching and equipping toward a growing faith and hope in Jesus. We encourage you to participate in weekly Sunday morning worship, Sunday School, and discipleship groups to know Jesus more intimately.

SERVING JESUS

We also want you to experience the joy of serving others. We provide opportunities to serve Jesus through our various ministries on our campus or by serving with one of our local ministry partners in the community.

SHARING JESUS

Every Christian is called to proclaim the gospel to the ends of the earth. Whether that is traveling hundreds of miles across the globe or walking across the street, we want to invite you to participate in God’s mission to bring peace and reconciliation to the world.

VALUES

Prioritizing

the Bible

The foundation of all we do as a church is informed and shaped by the Bible. It is our only source of truth and is reliable for all of life and ministry. We are a people who are learning to love and treasure God through his Word as we experience the transformative power of the Bible in all areas of life.

Nehemiah 8:1-9; Psalm 119:9-16;
2 Timothy 3:16-18

Integrative Missions

We were made for a purpose. God’s grace and love compel us into a life of mission from our doorstep to the ends of the earth. This is our calling in which we all participate. We take an integrative approach to God’s mission because we believe missions is who we are not what we do.

Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 1:8; Revelation 7

Transforming Discipleship

Everything we do as a church is intended to help people grow in their relationship with God by teaching them to abide in Christ, to practice spiritual disciplines, to love God and people, to develop their unique gifting in the church , and to embrace their calling to impact the world.

Matthew 22:37-40; Colossians 1:28-29; 2 Timothy 2:2

Unity in Diversity

God created all people equal in value and dignity and yet, beautifully distinct. Together, we embrace these differences as we seek to love and serve our neighbors and the community. We seek to be unified in leadership and vision as we pursue gospel partnerships in Bell County and to the ends of the earth.

Genesis 1:26-27; Galatians 3:28; Philippians 2:2; 1 Corinthians 12:1-14

Attractive Community

As the people of God, our identity is to be salt and light in the world as we love, care, and encourage one another. Our desire is that our church family provides an engaging environment that people love to belong to, invest in, and invite others to join.

Matthew 5:13-16; Romans 12:9-21;
Galatians 5:22-26

Undistracted Excellence

As we seek to glorify God, we strive for excellence in all we do in order to please Him. Therefore, we seek to eliminate unnecessary distractions through creative, purposeful, and innovative ministry.

Genesis 1:1-31; 1 Corinthians 10:31;
2 Corinthians 8:7; Philippians 4:8-9

Sacrificial Worship

All of life is worship. As God’s people, we recognize all we have and all we are is a blessing from Him. Together, we present ourselves over to God as faithful worshippers by practicing radical generosity with our time, our finances, our interests, and our homes for the advancement of the gospel in the world.

John 15:4-5; Romans 12:1-2; 2 Corinthians 9:6-15
